Let a number be "a" and the other number be "b".

-3 multiplied by a number "a" is:

[tex]-3\cdot a[/tex]

The product of two and another number "b" is:

[tex]2\cdot b[/tex]

And the difference between the numbers is:

[tex]-3a-2b[/tex]
